The kits offer an upgrade to the incandescent exterior lights installed by the factory on the Beechjet and Nextant aircraft. LED exterior lighting provides better visual support for pilots, offers lower energy consumption, and reduces the need for maintenance.

Dana Seese, VP of CARE and Parts Distribution, stated, “The root cause of halogen bulb filament and xenon tube failures is airframe vibration. This LED kit solution is solid-state, mounted device that can tolerate high levels of shock and vibration without failure. In addition, the LED lights provide more than 50,000 hours of continuous operation.”

Taking an estimated 40 man-hours to install, the LED lighting kits require installation by one of Constant Aviation’s Service Center locations: Cleveland, Birmingham, or Las Vegas. Kits are available for $15,942.67. Seese continued, “We are pleased to offer customers a cost effective solution that eliminates the need for costly bulb changes. The upgrade also prevents lost revenue from a flight being grounded over the discovery of a burned out navigation or logo light prior to takeoff.”
