Completed STC on the Citation X Marking the Companies 3rd STC in 2012

CLEVELAND, OHIO – March 20, 2012 – Constant Aviation, LLC, a maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility headquartered at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, announced today the completion of the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the complete Wi-Fi system along with Aircell’s® Gogo Biz In-flight Internet system in a Citation X. The completion of this STC marks the sixth Wi-Fi STC for the organization and the third completed in 2012.

“As our industry continues to implement new state-of-the-art technology, it is important for Constant Aviation to be at the forefront of that path. With new aircraft coming off the OEM production line with state-of-the-art cockpit and cabin amenities as standard equipment, we feel those upgrades should be available for aftermarket installations. Providing state-of-the-art amenities that the customers are accustomed to on the ground is allowing them to take full advantage of time spent in the air. Constant has invested in the development and implementation of cabin and cockpit upgrade options for our niche aircraft. Over the last 6 months, we have proved to be a leader in Wi-Fi installations,” said Derek Morris, Avionics Modifications Manager Constant Aviation.

Constant Aviation has also completed Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) for the installation of Aircell’s Gogo Biz In-flight Internet System including Wi-Fi in the Gulfstream IV, Legacy 600, Phenom 300, EMB135 Shuttle and the EMB135LR. Currently the STCs for the Hawker 800A/XP/850XP/900XP, Beechjet 400A/XP and the 737 Business Jet are in the final stages with the FAA pending approval. With in-house engineering, DER and DAR capabilities, Constant Aviation is able to complete any upgrade or modification a customer needs that requires a STC.

Gogo Biz is an affordable solution in business aviation that provides a true high-speed Internet experience that is similar to what passengers are accustomed to on the ground. It is up to 56 times faster than a traditional dial-up connection, yet it is small and light enough to fit on virtually any business aircraft. This new system is in high demand from business aviation operators and aircraft owners.
