Ovation® Select CMS Installed in Global Express
CLEVELAND, OHIO — November 10, 2014 – Constant Aviation, LLC, a Directional Aviation Capital company offering full-service maintenance, repair, and overhaul with a nationwide network, announced the installation of the Honeywell Cabin Management System, Ovation Select, in a Global Express.
“This cabin management system installation was part of a complete custom interior reconfiguration and avionics upgrade to the Global Express. The Ovation Select CMS provides the travelers with state-of-the-art connectivity via their smartphone, tablet or any of the installed passenger control units located throughout the cabin. The system creates the ultimate passenger experiences with the integration of high-definition LCD monitors, Blu-Ray player, satellite television, eternal camera system or any other carry on portable electronic device that can be interfaced into the system through an auxiliary input panel. Ovation Select utilizes the latest Cat-5 Ethernet network backbone and puts the entertainment system, lighting, temperature and galley controls at the passengers’ fingertips with touch screen panels. As part of the upgrade to the Ovation Select CMS, four new HD monitors were installed, along with an integrated 3D moving map, which also stores personal music for audio on demand. A new all-digital cabin surround sound speaker system was installed as part of the upgrade and was harmonically tuned for the best performance. The Ovation Select CMS has built in system monitoring and maintenance functions, which aid in troubleshooting and improve reliability. This system enhances the passengers’ experience while reducing the workload for the crew,” said Stephen Maiden, President/CEO.
